A native Chicagoan, Mr. Crown is Chairman of Henry Crown and Company. He is also Chairman of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Chairman of the Civic Committee of The Commercial Club of Chicago, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Institute, a Director of Children's Memorial Medical Center, Director of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Director of The Jerusalem Foundation, Director of the Weizmann Institute of Science, a member of the International Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University, and a Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Lyric Opera of Chicago. In addition, he is a Life Trustee of Northwestern University and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Lester is retired as Chairman of Material Service Corporation, and he recently retired from the Board of Directors of General Dynamics Corporation.
